2010 Teacher of the Year Nominees
Congratulations to the Teacher of the Year nominees listed below. The 2010 Teacher of the Year was announced at a banquet on April 22. The two finalists. Lynn Seman and Mary Beth Lee received a monetary award from the WFISD Foundation and the winner, Bethlyn Eby, received a plaque, a flag flown over the Texas State Capitol by State Rep. David Farabee, and a monetary award presented by the Times Record News. Mrs. Eby will compete at the regional level. Last year's district winner, Mrs. Donna Patrick, was named the 2010 Texas Elementary Teacher of the Year.
Since 1989 WFISD has honored teachers through the Teacher of the Year program. Each year teachers select / elect Teacher of the Year representatives from their campus. WFISD honors elementary and secondary teachers on alternate years with this year for secondary teachers.
