What is controlled choice?

Controlled Choice is a student assignment plan which allows parents and students an opportunity to choose schools within established guidelines.

Each current sixth and eighth grade student, his/her parent, or other adult person acting as parent, is required to enter Controlled Choice for an assignment for the next grade level.

Sixth grade students have four choices and eighth grade students have three choices, with no guarantee of assignment to any particular school. The parent or other adult person acting as parent is required to sign the Choice form.
