It is the goal of the Child Nutrition Department to provide a healthy and nutritious breakfast and lunch daily, while allowing students to choose from foods they enjoy eating. To serve meals that comply with the USDA Dietary Guidelines, Texas Public School Nutrition Policy, local health departments and the District Board of Trustees, meals are required to be reduced in salt, sugar and fat and be high in dietary fiber. The Child Nutrition Program is dedicated to enhancing academic excellence by providing quality nutritional services to our students and staff, while achieving sustainable economic stability. The Child Nutrition Department operates on the funds generated from the sale of food items to the students and staff of Wichita Falls ISD.
 
The Wichita Falls Child Nutrition Program participates in the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs. Your child can get free meals if you receive Food Stamps of TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families). Your child may also be eligible depending on your income. Applications are available throughout the year at all schools and the WFISD Child Nutrition Office located at 2015 5th Street, Bldg. A. For more information call 720-3262.
