One Simple Way To Give $20,000
to WFISD Second-Graders
If there were an easy way to make sure Wichita Falls ISD second-graders received a windfall of $20,000, would you help?

Now you can – by responding to a simple challenge from a non-profit organization called Champions for Kids.

In July, Champions for Kids selected the Wichita Falls ISD Read2Learn program as one of the nation’s top seven service projects for children.

But online voters will choose the best one.

All you need to do is cast an online vote daily for WFISD’s Read2Learn program through Sept. 21.

Your daily votes will give the WFISD program – the one that’s been so successful in helping second-graders read -- a great chance to win a $20,000 grand prize from Champions for Kids.

Established in 1964, Haynes Northwest Academy was originally named Kate Haynes Elementary after a woman by the same name. (pictured above) The mascot of the roadrunner is said to have been adopted due to the large number of roadrunners that could be found running in the fields behind the school.  Today we continue to strive to provide a quality education for all students that attend Haynes Elementary.
