Parents Don't Wait... Please Check you Child's Shot Record Now!
Due to changes in the Texas Vaccines for Children Program (TVFC), there are changes to immunization services at the Health District.
Now, children who have private commercial insurance which covers vaccines are no longer eligible to receive TVFC vaccine at the Health District. Parents of these students have the option of receiving these vaccines at their child's primary care provider (physician) or pay the private pay fee for the vaccines and submit a claim to their insurance carrier for reimbursement. Private pay fees, effective June 2017, are listed on the link below:
Due to these changes, it is very important for you to arrange for your child's immunizations now. Once your child has received the required immunizations, please bring proof of immunizations to your school nurse. You may drop off the updated shot record to the school nurse the week prior to the start of school.
Parents of Students in Grades Kindergarten and 7th Grade:
Without proof of any required immunizations (or the appropriate exemption form), a student CANNOT be admitted in the fall when school begins.
