2018 Graduation Reminders
Graduation Rehearsal-Wednesday May 23 at 4:00 at KYC
It is MANDATORY-you will NOT march if you miss practice!!!
Meet at the MPEC, find your row number ready to start at 4:00.
It will last approximately 1 ½ hours.
Graduation is Saturday May 26 at 5:00 p.m.
Graduates must be at MPEC in the line-up room no later than 4:00 p.m.
Students must follow the Rider dress code (including having hair of a natural color).
You will NOT march if dressed inappropriately!
White or light colored shirt with a collar AND dark colored tie
Black dress pants with black socks
Solid black dress shoes-NO flip-flops or tennis style shoes will be allowed
Gentlemen will NOT be allowed to wear ear jewelry or any other facial jewelry
Black dress (Shorts are NOT permitted at the graduation exercises)
Solid black dress shoes (heels should not exceed 1” to 1 ½ “ in height) and must have an enclosed heel or back strap on them - NO flip-flops or tennis style shoes that lace up will be allowed
No facial jewelry will be permitted to be worn by females at graduation
Unwrap graduation gowns and let them hang for several days before wearing them to allow the creases to fall out. Caps may not be decorated or thrown. Graduates must have their cap in hand to receive their diploma.
ONLY the following approved academic chords (obtained from a SCHOOL sponsor) with a minimum 3.75 GPA may be worn:
NHS, AP Studio Art, FFA, Mu Alpha Theta, International Thespian Society, and ROTC
If you are going to take driver's ed or have a summer birthday, you will need a verification of enrollment for your driver's permit or driver's license. You need to request it during the last week of school. The VOE forms requested that week are good for the entire summer.
Please be sure you take care of this before school is out.
