 Shepperd Trailblazer Award
 
Congratulations to Rider Senior Michelle Ingle for being presented the 2014 Shepperd Trailblazer Award. Michelle is the first recipient of this award, and is being recognized for her leadership and community service. CLICK HERE to read the announcement on the Shepperd Institute website.

Congratulations to Emma Grundy and Demointe Wesley for being named Commended
students in the 2014 National Merit Program!

Congratulations to Rider's IDEA Grant Recipients for 2013! Rebecca Hitchcock and Heather Preston received an award for their IDEA "Quick Steppin' Out with Success," and Wendy Risner and Juanita Griner received an award for their IDEA "Out with Tradition, In with Progression."
 

West Teaching Excellence Award

Congratulations to Rider's Todd Chamberlain and Lisa Williams for being selected as recipients of the West Teaching Excellence Award! This is a very high honor, and Rider is proud to have two teachers recognized for this award.
 

Important Announcement Regarding Notes to Excuse Student Absences
Parent notes to excuse student absences have been reduced to four (4) notes per semester for the 2013-14 school year. After four parent notes, it is required that you provide supporting documentation such as a statement signed by a licensed physician stating that the student was sick and unable to attend school. Documentation must be sent to the school anytime a student is absent.

    Rider High School was selected as 1 of 96 schools from across the United States that were selected this year by the NAMM Foundation as a Support Music Merit Award winner school for 2014.
