Opening in 2024!

  • On November 3, 2020, the citizens of Wichita Falls voted to approve a bond proposition to build two new high schools in Wichita Falls. The two high schools will replace the three schools that are currently in use. Wichita Falls High School will be retired, and Rider High School and Hirschi High School will transition to middle schools.

    On May 1, 2021, voters approved a proposition for outdoor practice facilities at each of the new high schools. Those practice facilities will include:

    Tennis

    • 8 Lighted Tennis Courts
    • Covered ground mounted seating for 100 

    Baseball & Softball

    • Competition Fields - Synthetic grass field and infield with lights
    • Masonry dugouts, netted fencing at area spectator, metal perimeter fencing for field
    • Elevated bleacher seating for 150 as each field
    • Single room press box, sound system, and score board
    • Enclosed batting cages and storage. 4 Lanes each for sport, 8 lanes total 

    Stadium for Track, Soccer, Freshman & JV Football and Band Marching Practice

    • 8 lane running track and field events
    • Synthetic turf field with lights
    • Elevated bleacher seating for 750
    • Single room press box, sound system, and score board
    • Band Director Tower

    Support Facilities

    • Tickets, Concessions, and Restroom Building
    • Practice Fields

    Both high schools are scheduled to open in Fall 2024.
