• Head Coach - Laura Holmes

    Laura Holmes comes to Rider from Lakeview Centennial High School in Garland where she led her team to three straight playoff appearances and sent 13 athletes to college on basketball scholarships. Holmes is a 1992 graduate of Kemp High School where she collected numerous all-district, all-region and all-state honors. Upon graduation Holmes took her talent to The University of Texas at El Paso where she spent two season before transferring to St. Mary's University in San Antonio. At St. Mary's Holmes was named 1st Team All-Conference, was selected as the Player of the Year in conference and was the first female basketball player in STMU history to be named a 1st Team Kodak All-American. After graduating from STMU Holmes spent 5 years at the collegiate level as an assistant and head coach. Holmes would begin her high school coaching career in Corsicana ISD where she turned a once defunct program into a playoff contender. After 6 seasons in CISD Holmes moved out to east Texas where she led the Tenaha Tigers to three straight district championships and four playoff appearances. After four successful seasons in Tenaha Holmes and her family, husband Antonio, a respiratory therapist and their two children, Kennedi, 10 and son Trace, 8, decided to head back towards the metroplex where Holmes took over the helm at Lakeview Centennial.

    Assistant Coach - Christie Derzapf

    Coach Derzapf graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 2002 with a degree in Health/Physical Education. She was a member of the Southeastern Lady Savage Women's Basketball team and was part of the National Runner-Up team in 2002. After graduation, Christie began working at Henrietta High School from 2003-2004. She then coached at Coalgate High School in Coalgate, OK, working with softball, basketball and track teams. During the 2005-2007 seasons, Derzapf worked at Jacksboro High School coaching volleyball, basketball, and track. This is her seventh year at Rider High School coaching basketball and track.
