The weather in North Texas can often be unpredictable, which can make it difficult at times for the district to plan and communicate school closures and delays. However, WFISD will make every effort possible to make an informed decision as early as possible while keeping student and staff safety the first priority.
If inclement weather looks like a possibility overnight, the Director of Transportation and Superintendent will monitor conditions and determine if a delay can be called the night before.
- If a decision to delay school is made the night before, the decision will be made by 8 pm.
- Notifications will be made through Parentlink, district website, Facebook, Twitter and local media.
