    Drama Camp

    Dates: July 8-12 and July 15-19

    Ages: 7-13

    Time: 12:30p.m.-3:30p.m.

    Held at The Forum again this year, campers will learn all aspects of Theatre Arts from audition to production. A performance for family and friends will be held on the last day of camp.

    ROBLOX Coders & Entrepreneur Camp

    Dates: July 22-25

    Ages: 8 & up

    Where: Vernon College in Wichita Falls

    Time: 9a.m.-12p.m.

    Discover how to code in the Lua language while playing and designing worlds in ROBLOX®, an online universe where you can create anything you dream
    of. This new class combines game design concepts, coding, and fun! Young entrepreneurs will also learn how to navigate ROBLOX’s fast-growing marketplace to publish their games. Student-created games will be available on a password protected Black Rocket web- site to share with friends and family. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.

    Make Your 1st Video Game

    Dates: July 24-27

    Ages: 8 & up

    Where: Vernon College in Wichita Falls

    Time: 9a.m.-12p.m.

    If you love playing video games, this is the camp foryou! Make your first video game in this one-of-a-kind class that shows you the keys to designing your first 2Dplatformer game. Conceptualization, play experience, level design, graphics, sounds, and simple coding are just some of the concepts that we’ll explore. No prior experience necessary, just a desire to have fun. Student created games will be available on a password protect- ed Black Rocket website to share with friends and fam- ily. Games are only compatible on PC computers, Mac versions can be created after the program for $15.00 conversion fee. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.

    Lego Mania

    Dates: July 29- August 1

    Ages: 5-7

    Where: Vernon COllege in Wichita Falls

    No builder can say “Lego my Lego!” when engaged
    in the creative activities of LEGO MANIA! This innova- tive program for Lego buffs provides opportunities for imagination and hands-on learning under the guidanceof a certified educator. Over 15 new games, projects andactivities not found in stores will be planned and manip- ulated. Enrichment in the areas of personal creativity, following instructions, eye-hand coordination, problem solving, critical thinking and learning will be experienced as the child has the opportunity to construct dinosaurs, rockets, castles, airplanes, forts, cars, and more!

Techniques are stressed and enforced with coordinated drills. All campers will be divided into appropriate age groupings. This is a camp of fundamentals! Camp is conducted on the MSU Texas practice fields.

    Dates: Multiple weeks with varies themes

    Ages: 3 year olds-5th grade

    Prices:  Full Time-$1500 plus $200 registration fee

    Part Time- $1000 plus $150 registration fee

    A La Carte- $200 weekly

    Camp Stonelake offers weekly themes, field trips, outdoor excursions, arts and crafts, STEM activities, team group games, spirit rallies, and much more to students ages 3 through those who have completed 5th grade.

    It’s time to Charge Into Summer and create the Best Summer Ever. The YMCA Summer Day Camp is a fun way to let your child enjoy and build lifetime memories. The YMCA Summer Day Camp is regulated by the TDFPS. Summer Day Camp provides children with positive developmental experiences. Children will make new friends, build social skills, and participate in Healthy Eating and Physical Activities. Activities such as nutrition education, volunteerism, and STEM Projects (science, technology, engineering and math) will help stimulate the YMCA’s three core values in your child-Spirit, Mind, and Body. Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack are served daily in accordance with the USDA Food Program guidelines.

    Camp Grin Again

    Dates: July 8-12

    Ages: Kindergarten – 8th Grade

    Price: FREE

    Camp Grin Again is a week long half-day camp for children who are grieving the loos of a loved one. Campers receive support through age appropriate groups and participate in fun activities. Camp Grin Again is offered to children grieving ANY type of death- not just families who have used hospice services. The death does not have to be recent, nor does the child need to be presenting difficulties.  Children will be participating in games, sports, arts and crafts and more.
