STUDENT AGREEMENT

It is important that I work to the best of my ability. Therefore, I will strive to do the following:

• come to school on time, ready to learn, with all necessary supplies,
• complete all assignments to the best of my ability and on time,
• participate in classroom activities,
• obey all school rules,
• respect all staff, students and their belongings, 20
• respect the rights of others to learn without disruption or harassment, 
• do my part in keeping my school clean and safe, and
• set aside time for the completion of school work.

TEACHER AGREEMENT

It is important that students achieve success. Therefore, I will strive to do the following:

• provide meaningful teaching and learning opportunities,
• set high standards for students and clearly communicate them to students and parents,
• monitor the academic progress of my students regularly,
• make efficient use of academic learning time,
• explain assignments so that my students have a clear understanding,
• provide an environment that allows for positive communication between parents, students, and me,
• encourage students and parents by providing information about student progress,
• give students strategies to achieve their highest academic and social potential, and
• provide parents with timely responses to suggestions or concerns about the education of their children.

PARENT / GUARDIAN AGREEMENT

I want my child to achieve success. Therefore, I will encourage him/her by doing the following:

• see that my child is punctual and attends school regularly,
• support the school in its attempt to maintain proper order and discipline,
• encourage my child’s efforts to do his or her best,
• be aware of what my child is learning, both in and out of school,
• encourage positive attitudes about school,
• attend parent-teacher conferences and school functions,
• communicate with teachers and school officials,
• establish a time for sharing daily school experiences and completing homework, 
• provide all necessary school-related supplies, 
• arrange transportation for my child within 20 minutes of afternoon dismissal, and
• monitor the quality and quantity of internet use and television viewing.

La mission de Barwise Middle School es para crear un ambiente de aprendizaje que es sensible a las necesidades educativas de nuestros estudiantes. Estamos comprometidos a proporcionar una calidad a la educación para cada estudiante. Este pacto es un acuerdo voluntario entre el personal de Barwise, los estudiantes y sus padres, a trabajar juntos en un esfuerzo por mejorar el rendimiento estudiantil, fomentar participación de padres y asegurar el éxito del estudiante. Como estudiante de Barwise Middle School, estoy de acuerdo en: 

• estar preparado para la clase cada dia escolar, 
• participar en las discusiones y actividades, 
• exhibir una actitud positiva sobre el aprendizaje y la escuela, 
• respeto y cooperar con otros estudiantes y adultos, 
• completar todos los proyectos, el trabajo en clase y las áreas asignadas, a tiempo, 
• asistir a tutorías cuando se necesita ayuda adicional, y 
• hacer un verdadero esfuerzo para aprender y dominar las habilidades enseñadas.

• proporcionar la asistencia a los padres para que puedan ayudar con las tareas.

• comunicar las necesidades especiales de aprendizaje de mi hijo/a al personal de la escuela.
