All 3 High School Bands Compete in Region Marching Contest

All 3 high schools competed in the UIL region 7 Marching Contest on Saturday at Memorial Stadium.

The Big Blue Band from Husky Land was the first of the WFISD school to perform, and their show was called "The Haunted Music Box". They received an "excellent" rating from the judges.

They were followed by The Big Red Band from Coyote Land, who performed their show, "When One Door Closes". They received a superior rating from the judges, and they advance to the 4A Area competition.

The Pride of the Raiders capped off the afternoon of band competition with "Into the Sunset". They also received a "superior" rating from the judges as well as "sweepstakes", which means they were judged "superior" by all 3 judges. They will advance to the 5A Area competition.
