National Athletic Trainer Month-Robert Doley
In honor of National Athletic Trainer Month, WFISD Athletics is recognizing our amazing trainers. This week, meet Rider High School's Head Athletic Trainer, Robert Doley. With over two decades of dedicated service to WFISD, Doley's expertise and commitment to the well-being of student-athletes have left an indelible mark on the community.
Doley's passion for sports medicine is matched only by his devotion to his family. He shares a nearly 20-year bond with his wife, Kelli, who serves as a beloved third-grade teacher at Ben Franklin. Together, they raise two sons: Noah, a junior at Rider, and Eli, an eighth-grader at Barwise.
Throughout his 21-year tenure with WFISD, Doley has made significant contributions to both Wichita Falls High School (2003-2019) and Rider (2019-present). His unwavering dedication to the health and safety of athletes has earned him widespread respect and admiration within the district.
Beyond the sidelines, Doley finds solace in the mountains, making it his favorite vacation destination. A staunch supporter of the Houston Astros, he exemplifies true sports fandom. His favorite verse, "But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called 'Today,' so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness" (Hebrews 3:13), reflects his values of compassion and encouragement in both his personal and professional life.
