Taliyah Brooks Qualifies for the World Track & Field Championships
Congratulations to Rider graduate, Taliyah Brooks, who has qualified for the World Track & Field Championships in Budapest, Hungary in August.
During the US Championships in Eugene, Oregon, Taliyah finished 2nd in the heptathlon, which consists of seven events over 2 cinsecutive days: the 100-meter hurdles, high jump, shot put, 200-meter run, long jump, javelin throw, and 800-meter run.
The winner of the heptathlon was Anna Hall, who scored a total of 6677 points. Brooks followed with a score of 6319 points. Chari Hawkins secured the third position with a total of 6053 points.
