TOGETHER, WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Thanks to your incredible support, our Roundup events are able to equip children with backpacks filled with school supplies, valuable community resources, dental screenings, and immunizations—all to help them start the school year strong. In addition to the Roundup, every student at Burgess, Scotland Park, Zundy, and Booker T. Washington receive backpacks and supplies on the first day of school. Remaining supplies will continue to support WFISD students throughout the year.

Since 2009, your generosity has empowered over 92,000 children to begin school with pride and confidence. Project Back to School will now continue as a program of the WFISD Foundation. With the Foundation’s commitment and reach, the impact will only grow—ensuring that no child in Wichita Falls starts school without the essentials they need.

Thank you for being part of this journey. The legacy lives because of you.

The mission of #ProjectBackToSchool is to improve the educational success of the disadvantaged children in our community by providing items needed for school, building their self-esteem, and improving their well-being,

To receive school supplies through Project Back to School, your student must meet the following criteria:

  • Qualify for the free or reduced lunch program

Additional information: A Student Registration Card must be completed for each child in order to receive school supplies through Project Back to School. Your student does not need to be present to receive school supplies; however, children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
