Crisis Communication

We understand that emergencies and unexpected events can occur, and it is essential for us to be prepared and communicate effectively during these times. This section is dedicated to providing you with valuable information about our district's approach to crisis communication, ensuring the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and the entire school community.

In times of crisis, communication plays a vital role in maintaining calm, providing accurate information, and guiding our response efforts. Our district recognizes the importance of clear and transparent communication channels to keep everyone informed, involved, and reassured. Whether it's a natural disaster, a school security incident, or any other emergency situation, we are committed to delivering timely updates and instructions to help navigate through difficult times.

We have established multiple communication channels to ensure effective dissemination of information. You can rely on social media platforms, email alerts, Parentlink automated phone calls and our partnership with local media to find real-time information, emergency details, and access to relevant resources.

We understand that crises can create anxiety and uncertainty, especially for parents and guardians. Therefore, we prioritize the collaboration between our district, schools, families, and community partners. By fostering strong relationships and open lines of communication, we can work together to mitigate risks, respond effectively, and provide the necessary support to our students and staff.

During emergencies, we urge you to avoid coming to the school until you are notified that it is safe to do so. If you choose to do so, there may be significant delays in our ability to release individual students to parents, as our priority will be maintaining the safety of the overall campus population. When regular dismissal times or procedures are altered due to an emergency, we will have a student sign-out process in place for the safety of all concerned.

Thank you for your ongoing trust and support. Together, we will navigate through any crisis and ensure the well-being of our school community.
