WFISD is looking forward to celebrating the Class of 2025 at the first graduation ceremonies for Wichita Falls Legacy High School and Wichita Falls Memorial High School. Both ceremonies will be held at WFISD's Memorial Stadium (5401 Southwest Parkway, Wichita Falls, TX). Ceremonies will take place on the following days:
- Legacy High School - Thursday, May 22 at 8 PM (West gates will open at 7 PM)
- Memorial High School - Friday, May 23 at 8 PM (West gates will open at 7 PM)
Parking
- For both ceremonies, guests should park in the west (home) parking lot. The east parking lot is reserved for graduates, staff of the graduating high school and volunteers.
Food/Drink
No outside food or drink is allowed in the stadium.
Weather
Ceremonies will take place as scheduled unless severe weather or lightning create a safety hazard. Kay Yeager Coliseum has been reserved on as an alternate location and ceremonies will take place on the following dates/times:
- Legacy High School - Thursday, May 22 @ 8 PM (Kay Yeager Coliseum)
- Memorial High School - Saturday, May 24 @ 9 AM (Kay Yeager Coliseum)
Should severe weather occur, campus and district administrators will communicate the alternate plans as soon as possible.
Guest Seating
Gates will be open one hour prior to the start of the graduation ceremony. There will be open seating for all attendees. Guests are asked not to "hold" seats. Please wait until your entire party has arrived before entering the stadium Should the West (Home) side of the stands fill up, the stands on the East (Visitor) side will be opened as needed for overflow seating.
At the conclusion of the graduation ceremony, guests are asked to exit row by row to avoid congestion. Please exit the stadium and avoid congregating in the parking lot or inside the stadium. Additionally, parents and guests will not be allowed to enter the graduate holding area before or after the ceremony.
Restricted Items
- balloons
- large bags or backpacks
- firearms, knives, explosives or other weapons
- coolers or other containers except in cases of medical need, as certified by a physician
- artificial noisemakers, air horns or megaphones
- large signs, flags, poles, banners, or laser pointers
- pets, except trained service animals
Guests Needing Special Accommodations
The gate at the south end of the stadium is designated as the handicapped entrance. Guests in wheelchairs may enter through this gate. The walkway behind the grassy slope at the south end zone will be reserved for guests in wheelchairs. Please limit the number of family members that accompany handicapped guests to ensure there is enough seating for everyone.
Alternate Viewing Location
All graduation ceremonies will be streamed live from the district's website. The live stream can be accessed by visiting wfisd.net/youtube on the day of the ceremony.
