Pre-Kindergarten Enrollment
To qualify for Pre-kindergarten, the child must be 4 years of age on or before September 1 and meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

unable to speak and comprehend the English language (contact Amanda Gonzales for testing at 940-235-1000)

is educationally disadvantaged (eligible to participate in the national school lunch program); parents must provide income documentation such as pay stubs or SNAP letter
-
is the child of an active duty member of the armed forces of the United States, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who is ordered to active duty by proper authority
-
is the child of a member of the armed forces of the United States, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who was injured or killed while serving on active duty
-
is, or has ever been, in the conservatorship of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (foster care)
Steps for Enrollment
Step 1: Complete PreK Eligibility Google Form
Step 2: Complete Online Enrollment
Step 3: Determine the School Your Child Will Attend
Step 4: Take Required Documentation to Your Child's School (after July 20, 2024)
Eligibility Documentation: SNAP letter or income documentation from the last 30 days for everyone working in household, military orders or ID, military disability letter, foster care paperwork
The Child’s: Birth Certificate, Immunization Record and Social Security Card
The Parent’s: Photo ID and Proof of Residency - must be a current (within the last 60 days) water, gas, electric bill, lease agreement or mortgage statement.
