Creating a Warehouse Requisition

Entering a Warehouse Requisition is the primary way of obtaining stock items from the warehouse. The following is the steps necessary to complete a requisition.

1. Log into Skyward and select "Requisitions" from the Inventory tab. Be sure you do this on the "Inventory" tab and not the Purchasing tab. 

2. Once there, select "Add" from the right hand side

3. Enter the Requisition Master Information

  • Verify the “Requisition Group” is set to your purchasing group.
  • Enter your “Delivery Instructions”
    • Ex. Lewis/Office
  • Select your Building from the drop down menu.
    • If your building is not listed, try typing the building number in the box
  • When finished, select “Save”

4. Now you are ready to select items.

  • You can sort the items by Item Code or by Item Description
  • You can search for a specific Item Code or Item Description
  • Once you find the item, double click on the item and it will be added to the list below.
  • Once the item is added below, you can enter the quantity you wish to order.
  • Once you have selected all the items you need, click "Save Item Selection Info"  in the upper right corner.

5. Now we need to add the coding for the requisition.

  • Select "Add Requisition Accounting" on the right
  • Enter the Account Coding you would like to use in the "Account Number" box
  • Double click the coding in the list to add it below.
  • If you want to pay for this requisition with multiple codes, repeat B and C to add the codes to the list and then enter the amount or percentage for each account.
  • When finished select "Save Account Distrib" in the upper right hand corner.

6. Finally, select "Submit For Approval" in the upper right hand corner.
