Wichita Falls ISD submitted an application to the Texas Education Agency and was awarded Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief III (ESSER III) funds under the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act of 2021. The intent and purpose of the funding is to sustain the safe operation of schools and address student learning needs as a result of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • A stakeholder meeting was held on May 4, 2022 to allow for input from stakeholders.
  • A meeting was held with the District Advisory Committee on May 5, 2022 to allow for additional input.
  • On May 10, 2022, the plan was presented to the Board of Trustees and there was an additional opportunity for stakeholder input.

The allocation amounts for Wichita Falls ISD were updated in June, 2023 and are reflected in the documents below:
