Graduation Information for Seniors

   S.H. Rider High School 2020 Graduation Information

**Graduation rehearsal is no longer allowed (per Gov. Abbott’s restrictions). So we will be distributing tickets and detailed information packets on Friday, May 29, from 9:00-noon and Monday, June 1, from 3:00-6:00 p.m. in the circle drive in front of Rider. Students must be in good standing to receive their tickets. 

 

**Graduation will be held June 4, 2020, at 9:00 a.m. at Memorial Stadium (4709 Barnett Rd.). Students will report at 8:00 a.m. 

 

Tickets: We will distribute tickets on Friday, May 29, from 9:00-noon and Monday, June 1, from 3:00-6:00 p.m.  in the circle drive in front of Rider. Students must be in good standing (chromebook and charger turned in, no school issued equipment, fines, fees, or make up hours that have not been completed) to receive their tickets during these times. Each graduate will receive ONLY 6 tickets for family members. 

Cap, gown, tassel, diploma covers, and masks: Each senior is responsible for purchasing a cap, gown, tassel and diploma cover for graduation. All sales are handled by Graduate Sales at 906 Denver. Call 940-723-8866 for information. If you have ordered the package, the diploma cover is handed to you at the graduation ceremony. For the safety of everyone in attendance, face masks are required of all attendees-no one will be allowed to enter the stadium without one! The district will be providing the masks for all graduates. Neither a student’s cap nor mask may be decorated. 

 

Graduation Dress Code: The graduation dress code will be enforced at the graduation exercises. Graduation attire must comply with the school board dress code (listed below); otherwise, the graduating senior will not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremonies. 

Gentlemen: 

  • Natural hair color 
  • White or light colored collared shirt 
  • Black dress pants with black socks
  • Solid black dress shoes 
  • Gentlemen will NOT be allowed to wear any facial jewelry and may only wear stud earrings

Ladies:

  • Natural hair color 
  • Black dress 
  • Solid black dress shoes (NO heels will be allowed on the turf) be mindful you will be walking up and down a very steep ramp and on turf
  • No facial jewelry will be permitted to be worn by females at graduation



*All fines and fees must be paid and all school equipment must be returned, or your diploma may be held after the graduation ceremonies.  


This information is subject to change should we receive additional direction from the state or City of Wichita Falls. However, if there are changes, we will communicate that with you as soon as possible.
